When you install a Shopify app, it asks for permissions called access scopes. These determine what the app can read or modify in your store products, collections, orders, customers, and more.

RenderKu requires zero access scopes. It does not request any store permissions during installation.

How It Works

RenderKu is an email template editor. You design your email in RenderKu's drag-and-drop editor, then export the HTML and paste it into Shopify. RenderKu works entirely with Shopify Liquid variables — the dynamic placeholders Shopify uses to insert real data (order details, customer names, etc.) at send time.

Because Shopify handles the actual data, RenderKu never needs to access your store.

See How to export email to Shopify Email for the full workflow.

What This Means for Your Store

By design, RenderKu cannot read, modify, or delete your products, collections, orders, or any store data. There is no access token that could be compromised and no API call that could go wrong.

Verify It Yourself

Go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Apps and sales channels → RenderKu → Permission details. You will see zero access scopes listed.
